Mac's Gunworks is a family run business that is always professional. My 70 series 1911 Colt Combat Commander had massive pitting and ware on it and needed to be revived in order to last through generations. They executed the project flawlessly. I was so proud of my revived Colt that I requested they brand it with their logo so everyone knows who did it. Recently my brother in law passed away from cancer. The memorial was coming up and my wife was stressed out about finding a customized placard that fit on the urn and it arriving on time for her trip east so she asked me, "Do you think Mac's Gunworks could make me one?" I wasn't sure, so I asked. Thank God I did because they had it done in less than 24 hours, and it came out beautiful! With the many different types of equipment they have in their shop, they are a versatile company that is so easy to work with on custom projects. Chuck McIntosh (owner and founder of Mac’s Gunworks) is among the best gun designers and gunsmiths that I have met in my life. I’ve worked with snipers in the military as well as notable hunters and marksmen. I’ve also had the good fortune to meet and work with some of the most cutting edge gunsmiths; Chuck can easily hang in that group of professionals.
Chuck built a custom .300 Win Mag for me that consistently shot less than an MOA at 1000 yards. I used that rifle to harvest a trophy elk in Colorado at over 480 yards with one shot. Later he built a 6.5mm PRC that again had that penchant for deadly accuracy. I harvested a sika deer in Maryland, again, one shot – it took one step before collapsing. Currently, Chuck is building me a custom black powder rifle. I have the utmost confidence that it will be more accurate than my ability to shoot it.
Chuck is a perfectionist. Whatever rifle or pistol that he builds will be exceedingly accurate, tight, and well machined. He is the only gunsmith / armorer / gun designer that I allow to build and adjust my weapons.

After meeting Chuck and Brittany I knew we would be friends for life. Chuck built me an awesome 28 Nosler that has killed a few nice critters. Chuck graciously invited my 14 YO son Bentley out to help build his own rifle. We spent an amazing three days in Wyoming machining and building a really nice 25 PRC for Bentley with some amazing special touches. You will not find a nicer, more humble gentleman that builds some amazing g rifles than Chuck at Macs Gunworks.
